Frequently asked question

Get your questions answered instantly

When are the summer math tutoring plans available?

Summer math tutoring plans are available June and July 2026 only. Once the window closes, these plans won’t be available until next summer. However, our regular math tutoring plans are available year-round — so your child can keep learning no matter the season.

What ages are the summer math tutoring plans designed for?

Our Summer Plans are designed for students ages 8 to 18. Whether your child is in elementary, middle, or high school, we have a tutor who fits their level.

Can I cancel the summer math tutoring plan if my child's schedule changes?

Yes. There's no commitment or contract. You only pay for the hours in your plan — no auto-renewals, no cancellation fees.

How do the online math tutoring sessions work?

Sessions are live and one-on-one with a real bilingual tutor. You schedule them at a time that works for your family — we adapt to your summer schedule, not the other way around.

Can I split my summer math plan hours however I want?

Absolutely. Whether you want one session per week or prefer to concentrate them closer to the start of school — the schedule is yours to decide.

What if my child needs more math tutoring hours than the plan includes?

You can upgrade to a higher plan or add extra hours. Just reach out and we'll help you figure out the best option for your child.

What is the free bonus hour* included in the math tutoring plans?

Every plan includes 1 free bonus hour that you can use for ACT/SAT prep or apply toward your next purchase. Your choice. *Valid for ACT/SAT prep or your next purchase.

Can the summer math plans be used for ACT/SAT prep?

Yes. Our summer math tutoring plans can be used for general math reinforcement, school prep, or ACT/SAT preparation — whatever your child needs most. And on top of that, every plan includes 1 free bonus hour that you can also use for ACT/SAT prep or apply toward your next purchase.*

Is MathPal an app or a live math tutoring service?

Neither. MathPal is a live tutoring service. Every session is with a real tutor, in real time. We believe that's the only way math actually clicks.

What language are the online math tutoring sessions in?

Our tutors are fully bilingual — sessions are conducted in the language your child feels most comfortable in, whether that's English, Spanish, or a mix of both.
This is especially valuable for Latin families where parents may feel more confident communicating in Spanish. You can talk directly with your child's tutor in your native language — no language barrier, no misunderstandings, just clear communication about your child's progress.

What is IXL?

IXL is a premium math practice platform that makes learning interactive and fun. Kids practice through activities adapted to their level, track their progress in real time, and build skills between tutoring sessions — so the learning doesn't stop when the session ends.

Is IXL included in all MathPal math tutoring plans?

Yes. Every Summer at MathPal plan includes free IXL access at no extra cost. Normally a paid subscription — included for you.
